MEET OUR PROFESSIONAL TEAM

PROGRAM DIRECTOR

TRIP WHITTENBURG

Originally from Amarillo, Texas, Trip spent his youth shredding Palo Duro Canyon on a bike similar to Cru Jone’s BMX. After graduating from University of Colorado, Trip put his business degree to use and opened Outdoor Element Sports (OE), Amarillo’s only bike shop focused solely on freeride and trail biking. In addition to being OE’s sole owner and operator, Trip focused on building Amarillo’s bike community through advocacy, hosting bike camps, and community parties! After eleven successful years, Trip longed for summer lift access and microbrews. He sold his shop and headed north with his best friend, Marley. If he’s not out racing Transition Klunkers or chasing his wife down Ride Don’t Slide on his Intense Carbine, you’ll find him in the bike park or out on a high alpine ride.

GUEST COACH

DILLON LEMARR

Also an Amarillo Texas native, Dillon Lemarr has been riding pro since 2010, when he was 18. In 2017, Dillon was the Competition Center's Program Director in 2017 for the Junior Development Program. He then recruited Trip, boasting Trip as his biking mentor.  Along with working for the Winter Park Competition Center, Dillon has had over ten years in the bike industry doing everything from photography and race planning to coaching and mechanics. Dillon currently rides for Commencal and is currently racing in the UCI races throughout the summer of 2018. When Dillon is not away at races, he will be "guest" coaching at our coaching sessions or out riding Trestle Bike Park.

ADAM ZIEGLER

“My love for biking began at a very young age. Growing up I always found myself distracted by a pile of dirt here and a new bike there. That remains true still today and I’m excited to share my passion with the future of mountain biking and continue making new friends on two wheels!”
